Applied Music Guitar 2206 is a course for anyone who is interested in learning more about guitar.  If you’ve never played before, you will leave this course being able to play chords, read tab, while playing a mix of classic rock to today's pop music.  If you’ve been taking guitar lessons and can already play, no worries- in this course you can improve your playing skills and learn new concepts.  This course is perfect for beginners and advanced guitar players alike.   Register for Alt Guitar 1105/2105/3105

Applied Music Piano  This is the very first time this course has been offered at Holy Heart and we are all very excited.  If you’ve never played piano before but would love to learn, this is the course for you!! Likewise if you are a proficient piano player this course will give you an opportunity to grow your skills and get valuable practice time.   All Skill Levels welcome. Applied Music 2206 & 3206 Instruments and Voices is the perfect course for singers and instrumentalists to work independently and in small groups to create music and build foundational music theory skills.  If you already play or sing and love to perform, this is the course for you!  Register for Applied Music 2206/3206 Instruments and Voices.

AP Music Theory 4225 is open to grade 11 and 12 students and takes up 1 slot in each term.  Students who have a love of music and would like to know more about how to read and create should register for this course.  By the end of the year, you will have completed the first year of University music theory and can receive University credit for successful completion.   This is a great course to improve your overall musicianship regardless if you decide to pursue a career in music after high school.

IB Music 3283 and 4282 is a 1 year university level course which focuses on three core competencies- performing, creating, and exploring.  In this course you will create music of all styles using traditional and contemporary methods of composition, explore music from all over the world through 4 areas of inquiry and perform music from a variety of styles and genres.  This course can also be combined with AP Music theory to receive more University credits. Register for IB Music 3282 AND IB MUSIC 4282.
